“Wellbeing Stairs” InfoVis

[2013]

Interactive Application visualising the data from the “WellBeing Stairs” project in TUe (Technische Universiteit Eindhoven). I developed this creative visualization of the data captured by the stairs sensors as part of the Data Visualisation module.

The Wellbeing Stairs presented the user with stair acting like a piano to incentivize them to use them rather than taking the lift.

The interactive visualization App, offers the user a piano to play with the mouse. By pressing enter, the user can change the visualisation mode. First, the keyboard transforms into the stairs and shows in a steps-bar-chart which step was most used. The visualization changes to present the user flow per stairs’ section and it finalises with the user flow per hour.
